Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Typeset text and graphics within InDesign layouts according to provided design specifications and style guidelines.
- Ensure accurate and consistent formatting, spacing, and alignment of text and graphics.
- Collaborate with designers, editors, and other team members to understand project requirements and make necessary adjustments to layouts.
- Prepare files for print production, including creating print-ready PDFs and managing color profiles.
- Maintain organized file structures and version control to facilitate efficient workflow and revisions.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in typography, layout design, and print production technologies.
- Assist in troubleshooting technical issues related to InDesign files and print production processes.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, including a strong understanding of typographic principles and layout design techniques.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy while working under tight deadlines.
- Responsible for accurately typesetting text and graphics within InDesign layouts for various print materials, ensuring high-quality output and adherence to design specifications
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively interact with team members and clients.
- Solid understanding of print production processes, including color management and prepress requirements.
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop and Illustrator, is a plus.
- Previous experience in typesetting for print publications, or similar projects is preferred.
